Cold Frame, 1988–96
Exhibited first at Randolph Street Gallery, Chicago (”Detail in the Cottage”), then at the Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago (”The Body Show”), and later at the Kohler Art Center (”Food for Thought”).At the Renaissance Society, we placed one cold frame inside the gallery; another outside, visible from the gallery windows. One grew a white blanket of mold, the other spring grass, eclipsed by late snow.
