Relative Softness of an Obstacle, 1996
The film focuses on one of the water intake cribs in Lake Michigan which provides drinking water for the City of Chicago. The text is excerpted from a story that was later printed in a special issue of WhiteWalls magazine (fall/winter 1998), titled "Impossible Projects," about desire and the relative scale of our ambitions, both romantic and adventurous.
