The view from our apartment if I could buy it
The view from our apartment looking south, if I could buy it (in two installments), 2002. Cardboard and paper tape.
Dimensions variable; approx. 8ft x 5 ft in this configuration. (Scale:1.5 inches = 1 foot of actual space).
A model of the space I would have had to purchase to protect the view from my rented living room. The English law of “ancient lights” says that if a certain space has remained unobstructed for a certain length of time it has the right to remain unobstructed. But America has no such law.
